Youth Work Programmes - Rowan Presland, Bsc Hons Dip HE

Rowan started out in youth work by working for The Princes Trust in a programme developed to tackle disaffection in schools.

She later moved on to work for Ceredigion Youth Service as a Schools Youth Worker.

To further her experience in working with disaffected youth she turned her hand to The Youth Offending Service.

Rowan has a Diploma in Youth and Community Work and specialises in Intervention and Inclusion using her skills as a trained counsellor and Youth Worker, has been trained as a Restorative Justice Facilitator and has facilitated school and community Restorative Justice Conferences.

Rowan is also trained in Child Protection, Drug Awareness and Off Site Safety Management.

She has achieved a variety of Outdoor qualifications including Walking Group Leader and the British Horse Society Assistant Instructor qualification.

Rhydian Wilson - Youth and Community Provision

Former Chief Youth Officer of Ceredigion Youth Service, Rhydian has 6 years management experience, 16 years youth work experience and 22 years outdoor activity experience including Mountaineering, Climbing, Caving and Paragliding.

During his time with Ceredigion he steered its development from a part time service into a fully fledged full time operation. He developed innovative local and national partnerships and initiatives and was instrumental in ensuring the continued development which laid the foundation for the future of Ceredigion Youth Service. Rhydian is married with 2 children, he is fully bilingual and lives in Ceredigion.

Activities Manager - Aled Davies

Aled is a former Duke of Edinburgh's Award Development Officer and is still involved with the Wild Country Expedition Panels.

An experienced and adaptive outdoor instructor and leader, he has previously worked for Ceredigion and Powys County Councils, Urdd Gobaith Cymru, Sports Council for Wales, Glasgow Ski & Snowboard Centre, Nevisport and Aberystwyth University.
